National Association of State Energy Officials

The National Association of State Energy Officials (NASEO) is the only national nonprofit representing governor-designated energy directors and their State Energy Offices across all 56 U.S. states and territories; formed in 1986, NASEO facilitates sharing of best practices, serves as a technical and policy resource for states, and advocates the interests of State Energy Offices to Congress and federal agencies. NASEO also convenes state energy officials with federal agencies and private-sector affiliates to advance programs and policy on topics such as advanced nuclear, home energy rebates, and critical minerals.
