NARUC Staff Subcommittee on Accounting and Finance Fall 2026 Conference

The National Association of Regulatory Utility Commissioners (NARUC) Staff Subcommittee on Accounting and Finance will be holding its Fall 2026 conference at the Hyatt Place -- Indianapolis - Downtown in Indianapolis, Indiana. The purpose of the conference is to provide accounting, finance, and utility regulatory information to personnel with all levels of experience who work in the ever-changing utility regulatory environment. After completion, attendees will be able to identify current accounting initiatives, standards, and projects at FASB relevant to utilities; understand current issues at FERC from the Office of Chief Accountant; identify the characteristics of programs funded by the Rural Utilities Service; identify emerging issues at FERC, State Commissions, and legislative actions; identify challenges from a changing environment in which utilities operate; list current regulatory issues of electric, natural gas, and water utilities, including those before the Indiana Public Utilities Commission; identify emerging issues on renewable electric generation; identify ever changing requirements related to ESG; and identify applicable tax issues for the utility industries. The conference includes open sessions for all attendees from September 28 to September 30, 2026, and closed sessions for subcommittee members and regulatory conferees on September 27 and October 1, 2026.
