About this conference
The summit will bring together Native language movement leaders, educators, policy advocates and N-NALRC Next Generation Indigenous language leaders and cohort members from across the nation including Alaska, Hawai'i, and the local region. The Summit, named Giwiidosendimin 'We Walk Together' highlights the collaboration between seasoned leaders and our next generation within our movements. Hosted by Lac Courte Oreilles Ojibwe University, this conference (also known as the Aanikoobijigeng National Native American Language Resource Center Language Summit) is supported by the U.S. Department of Education and aims to support and strengthen Native American languages as outlined by the Native American Languages Act (NALA).
