The Missouri Waste Control Coalition (MWCC) annually sponsors the MWCC Environmental Conference, one of the nation's oldest environmental conferences, running continuously since 1972. It focuses on technical topics across multiple tracks, including Solid Waste (Collection, Landfill Management, Infrastructure), Environmental Issues (Policy, Ecology, Climate), Brownfields (Redevelopment, Reclaiming Land), Tanks - USTs (Underground Storage, Compliance, Prevention), PFAS (Emerging Contaminants, "Forever Chemicals"), and Recycling (Circular Economy, Materials Management).
