About this conference

Museums Advocacy Day is an annual event hosted by the American Alliance of Museums (AAM) where museum professionals, board members, students, and advocates from across the country gather to collectively champion the value and contributions of museums to members of Congress and their staff. The event provides essential training and support for effective advocacy on Capitol Hill, with city councils, state legislators, and local/regional funders. Participants learn about legislative processes, key issues affecting museums, and advocacy techniques, with the goal of securing continued support and funding for the museum sector.

Sponsorship options

Sponsorship is available through the Museums Advocacy Coalition, offering various levels of support: Supporter ($175), Contributor ($600), Partner ($1,200), Partner Plus ($2,200), Leader ($3,200), Co-Convenor ($6,000), and Co-Convenor Plus ($8,000). Benefits include acknowledgment in conference materials and on the AAM website, complimentary Ally membership, complimentary registrations, legislative tracking, opportunities to invite Congress to visit museums, access to emergency response webinars, co-branded graphics, speaking opportunities, and board presentations. Individual donations of any amount are also welcome for Honor Roll recognition. Corporate sponsorships are also available.
