About this conference
Museums Advocacy Day is an annual event hosted by the American Alliance of Museums (AAM) where museum professionals, board members, students, and advocates from across the country gather to collectively champion the value and contributions of museums to members of Congress and their staff. The event provides essential training and support for effective advocacy on Capitol Hill, with city councils, state legislators, and local/regional funders. Participants learn about legislative processes, key issues affecting museums, and advocacy techniques, with the goal of securing continued support and funding for the museum sector.
