About this conference
Building on the success of previous meetings, MLXN 2026 will be held in-person with limited hybrid options available. This event will explore the transformative power of machine learning in X-ray and neutron scattering. In addition to traditional contributed and invited talks, there will be opportunities for networking and collaboration in a vibrant in-person setting. The conference welcomes abstracts on machine learning applications in X-ray and neutron scattering, including methods for data analysis and interpretation, AI-driven experimental design and optimization, deep learning for scattering pattern recognition, computational approaches combining ML with scattering techniques, real-time data processing and automation, and novel applications of ML in synchrotron and neutron facilities.
