Irregular Warfare Center Annual Symposium

The Irregular Warfare Center (IWC) is hosting a 2.5-day symposium on the Defense of the Homeland, with the theme "Irregular Warfare in the Homeland: Adapting for a Secure Future." This symposium embodies the National Defense Strategy's call for a clear-eyed realism that leverages all elements of national power. Day 1 will identify and analyze key irregular warfare threats to U.S. critical infrastructure by convening experts from government, industry, and academia. Day 2 will focus on the methods and operations of foreign adversaries within the homeland, addressing threats to industry, academia, and specific geographic regions like the Arctic and the Pacific. Day 3 is dedicated to forging a unified, whole-of-society defense by exploring how law enforcement, emerging technologies, and inter-agency coordination can build national resilience against irregular threats. The vision is to foster a collaborative, whole-of-society response necessary to identify threats, harden defenses, and ensure America can defend its interests with speed, power, and precision by convening leaders from the Department of War, the Interagency, state, and local governments, law enforcement, and industry, and academia.
