About this conference
The IFSI Veterans in the Fire Service Day is a unique, two-day annual event focusing on personal and professional development for US Armed Forces Veterans. The program offers hands-on, live fire training activities and features an elite group of IFSI instructors who introduce essential firefighting skills through rigorous training rotations. Attendees are encouraged to network and share professional and personal experiences, exploring the parallels between the fire service and the US Armed Forces. The event includes a First Responder Resiliency course aimed at addressing mental health, trauma, and suicide within the first responder community. Loaner firefighting personal protective equipment and self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA) are available. This event is available at no cost to participants and includes a welcome reception, dinner, breakfast, lunch, and funded hotel accommodations.
