First Stewards Summit

The Land Trust Alliance and Native Americans in Philanthropy will co-host the First Stewards Summit on September 16, 2026, in Denver, Colorado. This full-day event is designed for individuals engaged in Indigenous land conservation, stewardship, and community leadership through Tribes, Indigenous land trusts, and Indigenous-led conservation non-profits. The agenda, informed by feedback from past Summits and shaped by a planning team of Indigenous land conservationists, will include time for ceremony, knowledge sharing, and relationship building. The Summit aims to provide a dedicated space for Indigenous land conservationists to build community, exchange knowledge, and address shared challenges in their land relationship, access, return, and stewardship efforts. It precedes Rally: The National Land Conservation Conference.
