About this conference
Following a successful inaugural event held at the Idaho National Laboratory in 2025, this year's Energy Investment Decision Symposium expands its reach to DOE-funded national laboratory researchers, industry professionals and Department of Energy stakeholders nationwide. Over two days, participants will engage with leading practitioners and researchers to build and sharpen analytical capabilities across the full spectrum of energy technology economic evaluation --- from early-stage feasibility to investment-ready financial models. Sessions will cover technoeconomic analysis (TEA) practices for energy technologies, critical materials, and supply chains, including topics such as modeling tax credits, DOE perspectives, sensitivity analysis, cost escalation methods, discounted cash flow modeling, energy industry market trends, AI for TEA, and digital twin's role in energy development.
