Cyber Mission Readiness in the Age of AI

The Software Engineering Institute (SEI) is hosting the 'Cyber Mission Readiness in the Age of AI' symposium, a free, in-person event for U.S. government agencies, the military, and their contractors. This symposium aims to explore challenges and emerging solutions for building and sustaining cyber- and AI-ready individuals and teams, as artificial intelligence (AI) rapidly transforms the cyber threat landscape and defensive capabilities. Researchers and engineers from the CERT Division of the SEI will discuss how AI is redefining cyber mission readiness and will demonstrate Crucible, an open-source framework integrating learning management, hands-on labs, team exercises, competitions, threat sharing, and AI models into a unified cyber readiness platform. Attendees will gain insights into leveraging AI for cyber capacity building, effective threat information sharing, motivating performance through cyber-challenge competitions, developing cyber-skills mastery via guided self-assessment, and AI-driven strategies for forging elite teams for cyber and cognitive operations amid nation-state competition. The symposium will also demonstrate Fortress, an SEI-hosted, on-premises Crucible instance featuring CAC/PIV authentication, auto-account-registration, and CMMC L2 certification. Participants will have opportunities to network with peers and join an SEI-sponsored network of Cyber Mission Readiness professionals. While open to all, priority is given to U.S. Government Agencies, U.S. Military, and their contractors, who are encouraged to register with their .gov or .mil email address.
