About this conference
This conference attracts 400 attendees, bringing together board members, CEOs, COOs, CFOs, medical directors, clinical directors, case workers, supports coordinators, and children's supervisors from Michigan CMHSPs and Provider Agencies. It also draws strong attendance from other professionals within the public mental health and substance use disorder systems. The conference aims to identify advocacy efforts at local, state, and federal levels, spotlight programs on local CMHs/jails/courts, identify innovative initiatives to increase access to substance use disorder services, discuss plans to address challenges and opportunities from federal Home and Community Based Services rules and Managed Care rule changes, address efforts to further state and federal policy initiatives (including healthcare reform and integration), provide examples of local efforts to improve healthcare outcomes, identify ways to use data and data analytics to improve outcomes, and increase participants' awareness, knowledge, and skills related to mental illness, developmental disability, substance use disorders, and trauma-informed care.
