About this conference
NASA's 2026 Earth Science Atmosphere PI and Community Meetings will provide NASA-associated researchers the opportunity to hear about the future direction of NASA Earth System Science Research (ESSR) and its implications for the Atmospheric Sciences research community. Participants are invited to provide input on science questions to guide NASA-funded research for the next decade and inform the next Decadal Survey. The PI meeting will facilitate open discussion on NASA's research reorganization at Headquarters, allowing attendees to understand new directions, meet HQ personnel in Atmosphere and Earth Science, and identify new opportunities for forward-looking science. The Community Meeting will explore key science areas, with community-led discussions covering topics such as Stratospheric Composition, Aerosols, Atmosphere-Surface Exchange, Convection, Tropospheric Composition, Clouds, Radiative Balance, Atmospheric Circulation, and boundary layer dynamics. The meetings are scheduled as hybrid events.
