About this conference
The AFGE Women and Fair Practices Department is proud to invite you to join us for our 2026 Service Through Action and National Development (S.T.A.N.D.) Conference at the Hyatt Regency Atlanta in Atlanta, Georgia from July 31 to August 3, 2026. The 2026 S.T.A.N.D. Conference is a premier training opportunity, bringing hundreds of AFGE leaders and activists together to work toward a more just union, workplace, and world. This year's S.T.A.N.D. Conference will feature some of our most popular training courses, including EEO I (Basic), EEO II (Intermediate), EEO III (Legal Writing), Coordinator Bootcamp, Collective Bargaining, Conflict Resolution, Workers' Compensation, Financial Officers Training, Organizing Institute and much more. This year a different training track is available for the Young Worker Summit. It will focus on important aspects of union life in the labor movement and provide new unionists with tools to be successful union activists. This training conference is designed to deepen our understanding of the challenges we face and equip us with the tools we need to be effective advocates for change.
