About this conference
The 7th Annual Test & Evaluation Symposium, hosted by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Science and Technology Directorate, is a program focused on strengthening the Test & Evaluation (T&E) practices within DHS and federal acquisition programs. The symposium will explore the critical role of T&E infrastructure in mitigating acquisition risks, ensuring operational effectiveness, and accelerating technology transition across diverse mission areas. Discussions will cover proven best practices for the T&E of Commercial Off-the-Shelf (COTS) and Government Off-the-Shelf (GOTS) systems to reduce risk, ensure reliability, and inform procurement decisions. The agenda also includes panels on the benefits of DHS T&E infrastructure, Scientific Test and Analysis Techniques (STAT) Community of Excellence, and the integration of T&E to drive acquisition success within DHS components.
