The Society of Government Meeting Professionals (SGMP) is the premier national organization dedicated exclusively to government groups, meetings, and events. This annual conference brings together federal, state/municipality, and contract planner members with supplier members to enhance their knowledge and expertise of the government market and to foster networking and business relationships. The event historically includes a welcome reception, general sessions with renowned speakers, educational workshops, and an annual awards banquet. It also includes important leadership meetings for the National Board of Directors and Gilmer Trustees.
Sponsorship options
The host location is requested to sponsor the 2026 Gilmer Awards Reception & Banquet with a commitment of $30,000. Additionally, for the 2027 conference, the host location is to sponsor the Welcome Reception (including transportation, food, beverage, entertainment, and themed décor), provide up to 150 hours of complimentary conference staffing, ground transportation for the National Board and Gilmer Trustees, and a city tour highlighting local venues. Sponsorships are noted in the conference program, website, and signage.
