2027 Mid-Winter Conference

One of the most highly visible demonstrations of DAV’s dedicated advocacy in action. DAV members and leaders join together to put a face to the most pressing veterans issues and to bring the fight directly to elected leaders and policymakers in Washington, D.C. Attendees have the opportunity to meet face to face with lawmakers to make it clear what DAV is fighting for: a strong VA health care system; benefits for veterans exposed to radiation and other toxic waste; improved mental health care and suicide prevention efforts; equitable services for women and minority veterans; comprehensive care options for aging veterans; and improvements in the claims process for mental health conditions, including post-traumatic stress disorder and claims related to military sexual trauma. The conference includes workshops on legislative priorities, membership, service, VAVS, Inspector General matters, employment & entrepreneurship, communications, and outreach. The event also features the National Commander's testimony to a joint session of the House and Senate Veterans Affairs Committees.
