About this conference
The 2027 EDEN Annual Conference, hosted by the Martin-Gatton College of Agriculture, Food and Environment at the University of Kentucky in partnership with Kentucky State University, brings together Extension professionals from across the country to share innovative approaches to disaster preparedness, resilience, and community recovery. The conference features keynote presentations, concurrent educational sessions, poster presentations, business meetings, networking opportunities, and optional educational mobile workshops. These workshops explore topics such as emergency preparedness, operational resilience, and historic preservation in the Lexington area, or large-event emergency management and operational continuity in the Louisville area. An interactive Train-the-Trainer session is also offered, focusing on gamifying preparedness tools for Extension.
