About this conference

Design a transportation future that works for all on foot, by bike, and beyond! The symposium's mission is to inspire, educate, and empower New York communities to design safe transportation options for everyone. It aims to empower New York communities with the knowledge, tools, and partnerships needed to design safe, accessible, active transportation options for everyone. Expert-led sessions will showcase innovative solutions, leading to engaging discussions. Attendees will gain actionable ideas to expand walkable and bikeable communities and promote universal accessibility. The event attracts more than 150 local, state, federal, and private agency professionals devoted to building strong communities where people of all ages and abilities can safely and comfortably walk, bike, and roll. Participants exchange information on the many benefits that vulnerable road user communities offer, such as opportunities for people to be healthy and active, reduced injuries, less traffic congestion and improved air quality and economically viable downtowns.
