About this conference
The 2026 Regional Joint IAI Conference is a collaborative effort by the Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Tennessee Divisions of the International Association for Identification (IAI), bringing together forensic and crime scene professionals for a comprehensive week of scientific, technical, and operational lectures, alongside hands-on workshops. Focus areas include Crime Scene Investigation and Processing, Photography, and the collection and examination of Latent Print, Footwear and Tire Track, and Bloodstain Pattern Evidence, as well as various other impression and identification evidence disciplines. The conference aims to provide a cost-effective and time-efficient investment in professional development, allowing attendees to stay current with professional standards, certification, and the latest issues in forensic science and crime scene evidence. Keynote presentations will cover prominent criminal investigations such as The Murdaugh Murders, The Gabrielle "Gabby" Petito Murder Investigation, and The Hunt for the BTK Killer, featuring insights from experienced law enforcement and FBI agents. Planned social events include a President's/Vendor Reception, evening socials with bowling/video games, and an installation banquet.
