About this conference
The 2026 Harnessing the Data Revolution (HDR) Ecosystem Conference will highlight AI & Science: From Geospatial to Convergence. Its overarching goal is to enable sharing of experiences, perspectives, and synergistic activities among its five comprised Institutes. Objectives include strengthening relationships within the HDR ecosystem and broader data-intensive research community; sharing cutting-edge research in data science, AI, and convergence science; discussing cross-cutting activities to address challenges and identify opportunities for ecosystem growth; identifying synergies between data science, AI, and cyberinfrastructure; and promoting successful approaches to data-intensive education and training. Topics of interest for position papers include AI for Science and Science of AI, AI-ready Data and FAIR Data for AI, Convergence Science Frontiers, Cyberinfrastructure for AI and Data Science, Ethical and Responsible AI, Open Science Data Platforms, and Education and Workforce Development for AI-enabled Sciences.
