About this conference
The 2026 Northeast Cooperative Research Summit brings together scientists, fishermen, managers, and fishing community representatives to share new cooperative research projects, identify opportunities for enhanced collaboration, and discuss best practices for applying cooperative research results to fisheries science and management. Organized by NOAA Fisheries Science Center's Cooperative Research Branch in partnership with Cornell Cooperative Extension Program, this one-day event aims to share approaches and results of new or recently concluded cooperative research projects, expand fishing industry contributions to research, facilitate regional coordination, develop new partnerships, and identify priorities for near-term science and management challenges through presentations, breakout discussions, research prioritization exercises, and networking.
