About this conference
At the National Congress of American Indian's (NCAI's) 2026 Mid Year Convention & Marketplace, attendees will have the opportunity to work collaboratively with federal partners and Tribal organizations to defend and enhance Tribal sovereignty. This in-person convention takes place in Memphis, Tennessee. Tribal leaders, NCAI members, Native youth, and partners from across Indian Country will gather to embark upon a new era of Nation-to-Nation engagement, including proactive strategy development, advocacy, and much more. Through strategically timed professional development workshops, youth attendees will go beyond traditional conference participation, engaging more deeply in policy advocacy, resolution processes, and community-building. This dynamic Young Professionals and Emerging Leaders experience is open to ages 18--24. NCAI resolutions are one of the policy mechanisms used to express organizational positions on Tribal, federal, state, and/or local legislation, litigation, and policy matters that affect Tribal governments or communities. All of NCAI's advocacy work is guided by the Resolutions Process. Only Individual Indian members in good standing with NCAI may submit a resolution for consideration. All resolutions for Mid Year must be emergency in nature and national in scope.
