15th Annual Native Youth Summit

The Native Youth Summit (NYS) is the 15th annual multi-day leadership development experience that gathers Native youth aged 13-17 from across New Mexico, the Navajo Nation, and Ysleta del Sur Pueblo (El Paso, TX). The summit aims to strengthen leadership skills, foster community connections, and pave the way for safer, healthier, and violence-free communities. Through interactive workshops, cultural teachings, and peer networking, NYS provides a platform for youth to address critical issues affecting Native communities, including teen dating violence, domestic violence, cyberbullying, online safety, bystander intervention, healthy relationships, and topics relevant to the LGBTQ+ community. Rooted in values of culture, kinship, innovation, healing, and inclusiveness, the Summit centers the strengths of Native Nations, Indigenous knowledge, and the voices of young relatives, empowering them to become advocates for positive change and future tribal leaders.
