The Project generally consists of on-site stormwater improvements and influent sanitary sewer infrastructure upgrades at the operating Woodmen Hills Regional Water Reclamation Facility. The stormwater improvements are intended to collect and convey runoff that currently contributes to flooding at the main treatment building. The influent infrastructure improvements are intended to replace and increase the capacity of the existing influent interceptor, remove a future hydraulic bottleneck, and support future expansion of the RWRF. The anticipated Work includes site grading and drainage improvements; storm sewer piping, inlets, manholes, drainage structures, and associated appurtenances; approximately 367 linear feet of 24-inch SDR-26 PVC gravity sanitary sewer; sanitary sewer manholes; connections for future infrastructure; excavation, trenching, dewatering, bypass pumping, traffic control, utility coordination, surface restoration, testing, startup, and closeout. The RWRF must remain operational throughout construction, and uninterrupted sanitary sewer service and required access to Falcon Fire Protection District Station No. 1 must be maintained. The Project will be delivered using the Construction Manager at Risk (CMAR) method. The selected CMAR will initially provide preconstruction services in coordination with the District and Design Engineer. Construction will proceed only if the District accepts the negotiated Guaranteed Maximum Price or applicable GMP amendments and executes the appropriate construction agreement.
