Wolf Point School District 45 and 45-A

The 2024-2025 Wolf Point District Improvement Plan outlines five key goals: 1) Improve student reading/ELA scores by decreasing the number of students in the lowest performance section by 3% by the end of 2025; 2) Improve student math scores by decreasing the number of students in the lowest performance section by 3% by the end of 2025; 3) Improve teacher quality through recruitment, training, and coaching, resulting in a 3% improvement in walkthrough measurements and a reduction in the number of teachers with emergency authorizations; 4) Increase family and community engagement by at least two events by the end of the 2025-2026 school year; and 5) Improve student attendance by 3% by the end of 2025-2026. Strategies to achieve these goals include implementing various reading and math interventions, aligning curriculum, providing professional development for teachers and administrators, increasing family and community engagement events, and improving transportation and attendance tracking.

The Wolf Point Title VI Parent Committee meeting discussed a possible amendment to the 2023-2024 Title VI plan due to personnel changes and a lack of applicants for certain positions. The committee reviewed proposed budget items to address the changed needs of the district, including programs for math improvement, suicide prevention, anti-vaping initiatives, Native American cultural enrichment (drum making), and a high school credit recovery trip to Yellowstone. The current funding will cover elementary home/school liaisons, student supplies, and in-district travel for home/school liaisons.
