Alfalfa hay specifications: Shall: Be from 2025 2 nd crop or 2025 equivalent crop. Be domestically grown. Be leafy, green, sun cured with no moisture, properly cured and stored and free of dust, mold, or heating. Hay must pass a visual inspection prior to being accepted. Must be food for domestic animals, cut, cured, and stored for fodder. With a crude protein level between 12% and 18%, with a relative feed value between 130 and 170. Be barn stored or covered with hay tarps. Any hay stored outside uncovered must be free from any weather-related damage. Be free of any Russian Thistle or prickly herb, "Cheat" grass, and any other weed or grass not considered healthy forage for domestic animals. All hay shall be stacked in such a way that use of a “hay squeeze” is possible for moving squeeze blocks. See attached file.
