The Army intends to solicit and negotiate a three-year, hybrid cost-type sole-source contract with General Dynamics Land Systems Inc. (GDLS) for future production of Abrams vehicles in the M1E3 configuration. The notice states that GDLS is the only responsible source, while allowing other responsible sources to submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation for agency consideration. The contract is intended to facilitate future M1E3 production.
