To maintain ASTM validation, calibration of all instruments listed below to ISO 17025 standards is required over the next five years on a regular and recurring basis as indicated. Additionally, the ability for the contractor to respond within 24 hours to any immediate need is required. The items listed below may change over time. The contractor will accreditation for calibration capabilities from A2LA in the areas of Dimensional, Electrical (DC/Low Frequency), Electrical RF/Microwave, Mechanical, Thermodynamics, and Time and Frequency. The calibration accreditation will meet International Standard ISO/IEC 17025:2017 General requirements for the competence of testing and calibration laboratories. The contractor will also meet the requirements of ANSI/NCSL Z540-1-1994 and R205 – Specific Requirements: Calibration Laboratory Accreditation Program. The contractor will be a member in good standing with the National Association for Proficiency Testing (NAPT). See attached file.

Requirement for the modification of thirty-four (34) mat barges that are used in the transporting of articulated concrete mattress (acm). The work includes, but not limited to, removing the existing c- channel runners that are currently in place on the deck of the barge and replacing them with 6" x 14" runs of rectangle tubing. The mat barges measure 160' long x 34' wide x 9. 5' tall. The contractor will be required to provide all the labor, equipment, etc. Necessary to remove the existing material on the barges. See attached file.

The requirements of the job are listed below - there is a of requirements that applies to all machines along with specific requirements for each machine. Any repairs needed in addition to what is listed below shall be quoted by the contractor for a contract modification - not repairs in addition to what is listed below shall begin until repairs are approved/awarded by the MVK contracting office. The Mat Sinking Unit will provide delivery of machines to the contractor. The contractor shall provide delivery back to the Mat Sinking Unit once repairs are complete. See attached file.
