The contractor shall ensure the repairs completed for this requirement result in a complete and useable shiplift and transfer platform system. The shiplift system is comprised of a drydocking platform that utilizes wire ropes driven by hydraulic winches to lift ships from the water for maintenance purposes. The transfer platform uses a recessed pit to move ships laterally across the shipyard and is driven by a tow vehicle. The contractor shall procure, and in some cases install, the parts/materials listed in the attached appendices.
