U.S. Army Engineer District Detroit
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Detroit District, in partnership with Macomb County Public Works, issued a presolicitation for construction of the 9‑Mile Pump Station in St. Clair Shores, Michigan. The project calls for construction of a combined sewer overflow pump station with a 615 cubic feet per second (cfs) pumping capacity and includes demolition, utility rerouting and connections, grading/excavation, steel pile foundations, a single‑story pumphouse, and site restoration; the magnitude is estimated between $25M–$50M and a Project Labor Agreement and bid bond will be required. The Government intends to solicit the requirement as an Invitation for Bid (IFB) with solicitation materials posted on PIEE and/or SAM (approximate solicitation posting date: August 2026) and an anticipated contract completion in March 2029.
