The meeting covered updates to the Transportation Element and Comprehensive Plan, including the potential use of NRD funds for a TIP. The council also discussed economic development candidates and reviewed the GNCR User Agreement for Skykomish Depot Park/Depot. A decision on Post Office Wheelchair Ramp Bids was postponed, and a maintenance request for the town backhoe was approved. Additionally, the International Building Code Update to the Skykomish Municipal Code was addressed.

The council approved the agenda and November claims. The Mayor reported on Big Bear zoning, a plow/garbage truck quote, and progress on Access Management and TIP. An ordinance chapter amendment was approved with a change to the notification deadline for absences. The council also approved the Big Bear rezone from Residential to Commercial and a plow quote. Volunteers of America are now able to deliver food weekly to the Skykomish Food Harvest and hot meals to those that qualify.

The Vision For Skykomish document outlines a community-defined future for the Town of Skykomish. It aims to balance the preservation of the town's natural environment and unique heritage with opportunities for growth and economic development, especially in the context of an environmental cleanup effort. Key focus areas include Downtown, the Railyard Area, Accessing Skykomish, and the Levee Area, with the overall goal of guiding cleanup activities to positively shape the town according to community desires and foster collaboration.

The council discussed and made decisions on several key issues, including a rezone request for Big Bear from Residential to Commercial, and a quote for a 2005 Ford 550 Plow. They approved a KC Flood Reduction Grant and a KC Venturing Club Grant. Henry Sladek was approved as mayor pro tempore. Additionally, the council discussed a scrap metal sale, Parks Board updates, and Tunnel Days planning.

The council meeting included discussions on the Police Services Study Contract and the Ballpark Bathroom Proposal, both of which were moved to the August meeting.
