This project will provide new constant current regulators (CCRs) for the airfield runway lighting circuits. It is the intent to replace both runway lighting CCRs, however, this will be dependent on the bidding price of the CCRs. This project also includes the circuit investigation of the Runway 10-28 lighting circuit. This work shall include the splitting of the runway circuit and taking megger reading at the approximate locations as indicated on the project bidding plans. The existing 10-28 runway is approximately 7016 feet long by 150 feet wide with the circuit being installed in 2017. This circuit has been experiencing low megger readings. If this project identifies an area or areas of low reading within the circuit, this project also includes up to 2,000 feet of cable replacement, replacement of 20 isolation transformers, 20 L-824 connector kits and waterproofing. Determination of the quantity of cable, transformers, connector kits, and waterproofing will be made after the results of the meggers have been reviewed with the contractor\r by the airport engineer and electrical engineer.\r \r The project shall be complete and ready for final inspection within Fourteen (14) calendar days from the effective date of Notice-to-Proceed.
