This Joint Land Use Study (JLUS) for the City of Abilene and Dyess Air Force Base acts as a comprehensive planning tool to ensure compatible land use and robust coordination between the military installation and its adjacent communities. The study focuses on identifying and mitigating current and potential encroachment issues across 24 compatibility factors, including Anti-Terrorism/Force Protection, noise, vertical obstructions, and land use conflicts. Key priorities involve establishing strong communication links among stakeholders, implementing strategies for responsible land use planning, and fostering an environment that protects military missions while supporting regional economic and environmental health, as well as public safety.

The Commissioners' Court convened in open session to adopt the agenda as printed and posted. Key business included the canvassing of the Election Results from the November 4, 2025 Election, which was subsequently approved. No public comments were made.
