Following an in camera session, the council authorized a confidential legal letter pursuant to the Access of Information Act and formally adopted the town government relations plan.

The council meeting addressed several agenda items, including a request to extend the deadline for the Joint Use Planning Agreement with school divisions and the approval of the 2026 Services and Service Levels Inventory. The committee meeting primarily focused on the 2027 capital project and major initiatives priority matrix. Discussions included the nine criteria used to rate capital projects, the weighting assigned to these criteria, and how best practices from other municipalities were incorporated into the process. The committee also discussed the municipal enforcement service department, focusing on staffing levels and population ratios.
