The Stamford ISD District of Innovation Plan aims to leverage statutory flexibilities to enhance educational operations and empower students. Key strategic areas include local control over the academic calendar start date, flexible teacher certification, adjusted teacher contract days, extended probationary periods for experienced staff, adherence to established grievance policies, and increased local autonomy in managing the Student Health Advisory Council (SHAC). The Stamford Independent School District's District Improvement Plan aims to cultivate a positive staff culture focused on student-centered authentic learning with a global perspective. Key objectives include ensuring all student groups meet or exceed state and federal academic standards through stakeholder involvement, providing a well-balanced curriculum with career and college readiness activities, and maintaining high student attendance while preventing dropouts. The plan also emphasizes high-quality staff development, seamless technology integration across instruction and administration, and fostering a safe, disciplined learning environment through programs for suicide prevention, conflict resolution, and violence prevention.

The meeting included recognizing teachers earning new or advanced TIA designations and introducing the new Secondary Principal. The board discussed administrative, investment, and finance reports, dashboards, enrollment/attendance data, and board policies. They also selected a delegate for TASB, appointed campus behavior coordinators, primary and secondary appraisers, and approved the appraisal calendar for 2025-2026 and attendance waiver days for 2024-25. Additionally, they updated Policy CFB (LOCAL) to increase the capitalization threshold.

The board reviewed policies and discussed the employee handbook. Reports were presented on federal programs, the band program, and the athletic program. The board considered amending a policy related to participation in extracurricular activities, updated policies as offered by TASB Policy Service, and discussed cafeteria meal prices. They approved a contract with Region XIV ESC and changes to signatories with First Bank Texas and First Public Investment Pool.
