Additionally, the Board approved Medical Staff and Allied Health Professional Privileges.

The board meeting centered on recognizing a community partnership between the school system and Slidell Memorial Hospital and Ochsner Health. Key discussion topics included the establishment of a sensory room at Florida Avenue Elementary, which was made possible through volunteer efforts and a $4,000 donation from the partner health organizations. Participants highlighted the importance of such partnerships in supporting student needs, providing safe spaces for sensory activities and de-escalation, and fostering overall community support for the school system.

The board reviewed and accepted several reports, including monthly financial reports for the hospital, Louisiana Home Care of Slidell, and Northshore Rehabilitation Hospital, as well as marketing contracts, compliance, insurance renewals, the PI plan, and annual reports on hospital quality and complaints. An executive session was held for strategic planning and medical committee reporting purposes, followed by approval of medical staff privileges.
