Bituminous rehabilitation: at designated pavement areas shown on the plans and/or marked in the field, reclaim the identified pavement sections to approx., 8" for re-use as base aggregate. Saw cut the edges of all existing pavements to remain. Pull back the reclaim material and any necessary existing base/subsoils to the depth required to establish the pavement section and install geogrid. Base bid to include 1,400 cy (in place volume) of soil correction by replacing existing materials with base aggregate. To be adjusted by unit price listed on bid form based on actual field conditions. All soil corrections to be reviewed by geotechnical consultant and approved by owner/engineer. Re-install and re-grade reclaimed/existing aggregate base to establish the base aggregate section as shown on the plans prior to paving. Thoroughly recompact base materials in accordance with project specifications. Place and compact new bituminous pavements per the plans and project specifications. The contractor is to haul off any unused material. Concrete rehabilitation: sawcut, remove, and dispose of identified existing concrete, including any reinforcement, as shown on the plans and/or marked in the field. Place and compact base aggregate as specified. Construct new concrete pavements per the plans and project specifications. Site utility improvements: construct site specific utility improvements as detailed on the plans and install per project specifications. Pavement striping: upon completion of paving work, thoroughly sweep the pavement areas clean, then re-stripe all disturbed pavement surfaces and any existing markings as noted on the plans. Match existing colors unless otherwise noted or directed by the owner/engineer. All new striping shall receive two coats of paint, restripe areas shall receive one coat. Restoration: unless otherwise noted on the plans, restore all disturbed landscaping areas to original conditions including any damaged irrigation. New pavements and curbs shall be backfilled and regraded as necessary to ensure positive drainage. All disturbed turf areas shall be restored with new topsoil and seed as specified. Rehabilitate the existing pavements and construct new site improvements as identified on the plans described below. B. Alternate #1 - dock lift - install new dock lift per plans and specifications including all electrical work shown on E000 and E100.
