The meeting included a recognition of Ms. Paula Cooper for her work with the HIPPY Program. Updates were provided on construction and maintenance projects across the district, including CTEC's new entrance, Montevallo High's front entrance, Inverness Elementary's parking lot, and projects at Helena High, Mt. Laurel, Oak Mountain Elementary, Oak Mountain Intermediate, and Oak Mountain Middle.

The board discussed out of state field trips, tobacco use policy, vape awareness, education, and prevention policy, mental health services, bus driver subs and bus aide subs.

The actions include hiring new certified and support employees across various schools, such as kindergarten and special education teachers, speech teachers, science and math teachers, bus aides, paraeducators, a bus driver, a custodian, and a CNP employee. Additionally, there are employee transfers, upgrades in positions like principal and teachers, and separations including bus drivers, CNP employees, custodians, teachers, a registered nurse, and a paraeducator.
