The meeting included introductions of new members and the election of a vice chair. A special committee was formed to update the standing rules. The committee assignments were determined and the guidance for committees was provided, with a focus on brainstorming ideas and identifying questions for further research.

This document details the implementation of the Innovative School Grants program by Round Rock ISD, which aligns with its strategic plan. The strategic plan, approved in May 2015, includes eight goals and 53 specific results. The grants directly support goals related to implementing and enhancing innovative teaching and learning models and designing flexible learning environments. The initiative aims to empower campuses, spark innovation, transform learning environments to meet the needs of a global economy, and provide resources for staff to deliver personalized learning opportunities for every student.

The budget information session for Round Rock ISD discussed the budget development process, factors, considerations, and challenges. Key topics included the four types of budget funds, major factors affecting the budget such as state legislature, property value tax rate, enrollment, inflation, extra funding cliff, and employee compensation. The session also covered the impact of the Essa funding Cliff and presented budget scenarios for FY 22-24 and 23-24, including potential deficits based on different enrollment scenarios.

The meeting focused on canvassing the returns and declaring the results of the November 5th, 2024, Board of Trustees election. The board certified the election returns, declaring the winners for trustee places one, two, and seven. Additionally, the board certified the election returns for the bond election, declaring that propositions A, B, and C had passed, while proposition D failed to pass.
