Key areas of interest for the modernized capability include: End-to-End Casualty Continuum Modeling: Dynamic simulation of the patient pathway from Outside the Contiguous United States (OCONUS) Point of Injury (POI) through definitive Contiguous United States (CONUS) treatment and Return to Duty (RTD). Stochastic Logistics Projections: Moving beyond static, historical averages to calculate real-world Class VIIIA (Medical Materiel) and VIIIB (Blood) consumption rates and local stockout risks. Dynamic Physiological Deterioration: Modeling the progression of clinical trauma (e.g., hemorrhage, sepsis) over time, particularly under prolonged field care constraints. See attached file.
