The board convened a public hearing to receive community comments regarding the proposed Fiscal Year 2027 Local Current Expense and Capital Outlay Budgets. No citizens requested to speak during the hearing, and the session was subsequently closed.

Additionally, the Committee discussed the scheduling frequency for future committee meetings and agreed to transition from a monthly schedule to a quarterly meeting format for the upcoming school year, while retaining the ability to convene sooner if necessary.

The Board convened in a special session primarily to conduct a closed session. The closed session was held to protect confidential information, maintain attorney-client privilege, and formulate strategies regarding the district's response to a security incident. Following the closed session, the Board returned to open session and adjourned the meeting.

The meeting included several key agenda items, such as the approval of budget amendments across various funds and the election of personnel. The Board adopted revisions to multiple policies, including those regarding family and medical leave and technology responsible use. A Head Start Corrective Action Plan was approved. The Board established a classified employee salary supplement to support staff retention. Additionally, the fiscal year budget for the Local Current Expense Fund and Capital Outlay Fund was approved. The Board also reviewed and authorized an updated Beginning Teacher Support Program Plan, discussed updates on the Parent Academy, and approved engagement letters for legal services.
