Project includes the following Work: Extend the City of Ola’s raw water intake further into the lake to draw from greater depths, thereby significantly improving raw water quality. The work includes installing submerged 12-inch HDPE DR17 piping from the existing intake tower to a deeper lake-bed terminus. This new underwater intake terminus features dual passive cylindrical wedge-wire T-screens anchored to a heavy 6'x6' reinforced concrete foundation. To secure the underwater work zone and alert public marine traffic, five (5) high-visibility regulatory warning buoys will be permanently anchored on the lake surface at a 300-foot radius around the submerged pipeline.
