Northwest Suburban Municipal Joint Action Water Agency
Main Pumping Station Building; HVAC System Rehabilitation & Modernization Project: Work includes the following: •Remove and dispose of the air handling units and rooftop condensing equipment. •Remove and dispose of the restricted fresh air and exhaust ventilation systems. •Replace the outdated equipment with energy-efficient models. •Upgrade the pneumatic controls to direct digital control (DDC) for better accuracy and system monitoring. •Optimize the air distribution and temperature regulation throughout all building spaces. •Enhance the ventilation in compliance with current codes. •Reduce the energy and maintenance costs. •Increase the system reliability for uninterrupted operations. •Add cooling to the electrical room by using a variable refrigerant flow system and 5 tons of cooling. •Replace all air handlers and rooftop condensing units with modern, efficient models. •Install variable frequency drives (VFDs) on fan motors for energy savings. •Implement DDC systems for advanced and flexible control. •Upgrade ductwork and diffusers for improved air delivery. •Enhance general intake and exhaust ventilation. •Add humidity control and advanced filtration as needed. •Install a rooftop unit (RTU) dedicated to the newly created office space, providing heating, cooling, and ventilation tailored to office occupancy and comfort requirements. •Provide and install new Building Automation System. •Any additional appurtenant work required to make this a well-constructed project, and all required safety measures and clean-up tasks to insure a successful project. •The Contractor will work in a deliberate and safe manner. The safety of the Public, and the NSMJAWA Staff and the Contractor’s Employees is the TOP PRIORITY. •The Contractor will work in a neat fashion and ensure a clean work environment. The Contractor will properly clean and dispose of all work debris and neatly store all tools at the end of each workday.
