Board meetings and strategic plans from Northshore Utility District
The agenda includes the approval of disbursements and a developer extension bill of sale for the Kinross Short Plat sewer and water project. New business features a motion regarding a utility adjustment agreement with the City of Kenmore for the Arrowhead Drive sidewalk and storm upgrade. Additionally, the meeting includes a finance department report and general department and board updates.
This document updates the Northshore Utility District's Wastewater System Capital Improvement Plan, outlining a 20-year schedule of wastewater system and facility improvements from 2018 through 2037. The plan categorizes improvements into miscellaneous projects, maintenance and operations, gravity sewer rehabilitation, sewage lift station projects, gravity sewer main replacement, and Totem Lake regional improvements. The primary objectives are to increase system capacity to accommodate development, replace and rehabilitate aging infrastructure, and enhance overall system performance and longevity, while also establishing new connection charges.
This Wastewater System Plan for the Northshore Utility District outlines the strategy for providing future sewer service. It focuses on evaluating the existing system and identifying necessary pipe upgrades using hydraulic models for various scenarios up to a 20-year planning interval. Key initiatives include expanding service to unsewered areas, enhancing system efficiency and reliability through ongoing rehabilitation programs for sewers and manholes, upgrading lift stations, and ensuring emergency preparedness. The plan also considers coordination with future King County facilities.
This document serves as an amendment to the Northshore Utility District's existing Wastewater System Plan, addressing capacity deficiencies in the Totem Lake area due to significantly denser development. Its primary focus areas include analyzing impacts on the sanitary sewer system and identifying necessary capital improvements. Key projects involve Cured-In-Place Pipe (CIPP) capacity enhancements, installation of a 12-inch bypass main on NE 124th Street, upsizing an existing Totem Lake Trunk Line segment, and developing an Eastside Collector Trunk. The intended outcome is to mitigate future capacity issues and ensure the system can effectively manage projected wastewater flows over 10- to 20-year planning horizons.
This document, the 2009 Wastewater System Plan, outlines the Northshore Utility District's planning strategy for its wastewater utility, serving as an update to the 2006 Wastewater Comprehensive Plan. It evaluates the existing system and identifies necessary future improvements to support growth and maintain a high level of service over a 20-year planning interval ending in 2026. The plan addresses compliance with state regulations, wastewater characterization, system operations and maintenance, potential reuse of reclaimed water, and outlines a Capital Improvement Program supported by a financial strategy for implementation.
