North Dakota National Guard

This document outlines the vision, mission, and key strategic themes for the North Dakota National Guard. Its vision is to be a premier, relevant force, evolving to meet future missions, with a mission to provide ready units, individuals, and equipment supporting communities, state, and nation. The strategic direction is guided by three key themes: 'Readiness and Lethality,' which prioritizes continuous preparation for combat and domestic emergencies; 'Partnerships,' focusing on building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders; and 'A Profession of Arms,' emphasizing leadership development, a culture of respect, diversity, and empowering subordinates.

The town hall covered various topics, including communication strategies, current programs, and command philosophy. It addressed the importance of dignity and respect for all members, regardless of sexual orientation, and emphasized the need for resilience and support within the force. The discussion also highlighted veterans outreach programs, family support initiatives, and the significance of integrity and leadership in the National Guard.

The Community Health Improvement Plan (CHIP) outlines five strategic goals supporting the NDNG's Strategic Guidance, focusing on holistic health and wellness, resilient families, substance misuse reduction, increased help-seeking behavior, and improved fitness. The plan emphasizes building mental, physical, emotional, behavioral, and spiritual health to enhance performance and readiness across the Total Army.
