The North Carolina Department of Adult Correction (Division of Prisons, Engineering and Construction Management) solicits a qualified general contractor to perform steam leak repairs and comprehensive facility upgrades at Central Prison in Raleigh, including replacement of the Building Automation System (BAS), installation of six VFDs, reinsulation of ductwork and piping, replacement of steam condensate return units and domestic water booster systems, water heaters, LED lighting upgrades, new ceiling tiles and flooring, and HVAC/plumbing test-and-balance. A mandatory pre-bid meeting is scheduled for 2026-02-10 at 10:00 AM, and sealed bids are due 2026-02-24 at 10:00 AM (local); bonding, bid deposit, HUB/minority participation affidavits, and document purchase/inspection provisions are specified in the solicitation.
