This Strategic Plan for the Municipality of Naranjito aims to guarantee the rights and welfare of citizens with disabilities, specifically through the implementation of Law 238 (Carta de Derechos de las Personas con Impedimentos). The plan aims to transform Naranjito into a fully inclusive municipality, guaranteeing respectful and equal treatment without discrimination, and strengthening the quality of life for all its citizens.

This strategic plan for the Departamento de Estado outlines a four-year roadmap to enhance services and support for persons with disabilities. The core objective is to foster greater sensitivity among employees in their interactions, improve service quality, and promote independence. Key pillars include comprehensive staff training on the rights of persons with disabilities, establishing a dedicated database, disseminating vital information, identifying and removing architectural barriers for improved accessibility, and ensuring access to technological assistance.

The session included the authorization of executive sessions for various legislative commissions and the consideration of multiple Senate and House bills concerning topics such as hospital price transparency, coastal erosion, and infrastructure planning. The Senate reviewed a gubernatorial veto regarding proposed community values legislation and addressed information requests concerning water infrastructure projects. Numerous motions of recognition and congratulation were presented and approved. The session concluded with the final voting and approval of several legislative measures, including various bills and joint resolutions regarding administrative, financial, and regulatory matters.

The Senate session covered numerous legislative actions, including the authorization for various standing commissions to hold executive meetings. The body reviewed multiple positive and negative commission reports regarding various bills and joint resolutions. Key agenda items included the introduction of new Senate bills, the reading of bills received from the House of Representatives, and the processing of administrative communications regarding government appointments and legislative exchanges. Several information requests were approved, requiring various government departments, including the Aqueduct and Sewer Authority, Department of Corrections, Department of Education, University of Puerto Rico, and the Department of Consumer Affairs, to provide documentation and status reports on infrastructure projects, prisoner transfers, and educational policies. The session also addressed excusal requests for several senators and handled various motions of recognition and congratulation.
