State of Iowa DAS solicits professional design services to replace the upper parking lot at Department of Public Safety Post 13. Scope includes demolition and new concrete paving, aggregate base/grading, pavement striping and accessible parking/signage, sidewalk and front stoop replacement with ADA compliance and water infiltration mitigation, geotechnical coordination, required survey, full construction drawings/specifications, bid support, and construction administration (minimum eight site visits plus unit price per additional inspection). Contract uses a modified ConsensusDoc 803; requires licensed design professional(s), $2M professional liability insurance, lump-sum fee with detailed breakdown and hourly rates, and use of State construction management software.
