Iberville Parish School District

The board meeting focused on District Facility Project Updates for Fiscal Year 2026 across several schools. Key discussions included the progress and budget for projects at East Iberville Elementary/High School, such as the Field House, Welding / Pipefitting Classroom, and Baseball / Softball Field. Updates were provided on the boiler installation at Iberville Elementary School and the Pre-K & Admin. Additional project at MSA-East Academy. The board also reviewed the status of the New Classroom Building G, New Football & Track Field, Parking lot Improvements, and Kitchen Reno at North Iberville Elementary/High School and Plaquemine High School, respectively. Lastly, progress on the Central Office Complex renovation and the Multi-Campus Greenhouse Project was addressed.

The Executive Committee meeting included discussions and approval of revisions to policies GAHB: Political Activities and LEG: Commercial, Promotional, and Corporate Sponsorships and Partnerships based on Act 89. The approved revisions were sent to the full board for final approval.

The Finance Committee convened to discuss and approve the August 2022 monthly financial statements and the LA Compliance Questionnaire.

The Building and Grounds Committee meeting included discussions on the current work order status report, submitted work order report, completed work order report, current project planning report, and long-term project planning list. The committee approved accepting bids for 2022/2023 custodial supplies and emergency disaster packages. Additionally, the committee moved to postpone accepting bids for the PHS Baseball/Softball Complex and the PHS Football Scoreboard until the next meeting.

The board discussed and approved an addendum to include the approval of new criteria for students to remain at MSA-West and MSA-East. They recognized MSA-West for being renewed as an "Apple Distinguished School." A presentation was given by LSU representatives regarding an internship program between LSU and the Iberville Parish School System. The board also discussed and considered approving the extension of the Superintendent's current contract, and approved the 2013-2014 Iberville Parish School District calendar. Additionally, the board discussed and approved the criteria for remaining at MSA-West and MSA-East, effective at the beginning of the 2013 fall semester. The meeting also involved discussions on worker's compensation insurance renewal and finance committee meeting recommendations.
